Two long-distance buses carrying passengers from Dinajpur to Dhaka and Comilla have been fined for disobeying government instructions.

The two buses were detained during a mobile court operation at Phulbari bus stand in the city at 9pm on Thursday. The two drivers were also fined Tk 15,000.

Two buses have been taken into the custody of Kotwali police station. There were 35 passengers in the two buses. The incident took place in Phulbari area of ​​Dinajpur city around 11pm on Thursday. A fine-laden bus left for Comilla.

The other bus left for Dhaka. The mobile court was conducted by Sadar Upazila Executive Officer and Executive Magistrate Magfurul Hasan Abbasi.

He said inter-district public transport was closed in Corona as per government restrictions but the buses were starting two journeys without the attention of the administration.

After receiving the news, the two buses were detained with the help of the police through a mobile court and fined Tk 15,000.

Passengers on the bus are sent back home. There were about 35 passengers in the two buses. He added that after the fine, the two buses were sent to Kotwali police station by the police.

The two buses will be released from the police station if they can show the required documents. The bus was detained but the helpers and drivers were not detained.
