Road Transport and Bridges Minister and Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader said the government was considering launching public transport ahead of Eid. He said this at a regular briefing at his official residence on Saturday morning. Obaidul Quader also called upon the transport owners and workers to be patient without going to protests. Meanwhile, considering Eid and Ramadan and considering those working in shops and shopping malls, the government has already relaxed the lockdown, the bridge minister said. Regarding May Day, Obaidul Quader said, May Day is the day of victory achieved through struggle, solidarity, determination and blood of the workers. In this context, he mentioned that Bangladesh became a member of the International Labor Organization on 22 June 1972 on the initiative of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
On the same day, Bangladesh ratified 29 conventions of the ILO, which was a rare event. He said that recently 201 fake IDs have been opened in his name through various social media.
Who or what is intentionally uploading various statements and pictures from them, which is not legal. "Actually, the ID I'm using is a verified Facebook ID," he said.
