Due to the Corona (Covid-19) contagious situation in India, the deadline for land border closure with the country is being extended for another 14 days.

The government has decided to extend this time till June 14. The decision was taken at a virtual meeting chaired by Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen on Saturday. On Sunday, the government announced the closure of all land borders with the country in the first phase on April 26 due to the rising incidence of corona in India, foreign ministry sources said on Sunday.

After that it was extended till May 31 in two more phases. At the last meeting on Saturday (May 29), it was decided to extend the border closure by one more point.
