Rozina Islam was taken to the Kashimpur High Security Central Jail after her remand was revoked on charges of 'attempting to steal government documents' and 'taking pictures' on her mobile phone. Rozina Islam was taken to Dhaka's Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) court after 11am on Tuesday.
At that time, the police requested to remand Rozina Islam for five days. However, Magistrate Mohammad Jasim rejected Rozina's remand and ordered her to be sent to jail.
Her bail hearing is likely to be held next Thursday. Lawyers Ehsanul Haque Samaji, Ashraf Ul Alam and Prashant Kumar Karmakar appeared for Rozina Islam in the court.
Lawyer Abdur Rashid for Law and Arbitration Center, Lawyer Mashiur Rahman for Blast and Lawyer Sumon Kumar Roy were also present at the hearing.
Rozina Islam was taken to court from Shahbagh police station at around 8 am before Metropolitan Public Prosecutor Abdullah Abu appeared for the state.
Rozina Islam's husband, Monirul Islam, said at the time that she was being held in a court cell. At one point he fell ill.
The police took her to Shahbagh police station around 8.30 pm. Police said that a case has been filed against Rozina Islam under the Official Secrets Act. She has been shown arrested in this case.
