Protests erupted in the Japanese capital, Tokyo, in protest of the Israeli attack on the Palestinian Gaza Strip. More than 600 Palestinian supporters, including Uighurs, gathered outside a Turkish mosque in Tokyo after Friday prayers. Protesters included Chinese Uyghurs and Japanese, as well as Turkish, Pakistani, Palestinian and Nigerian nationals.
Demonstrators peacefully protested the Israeli attack on Gaza with their national flags in their hands. Condemning the deadly Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip, the protesters chanted "Free Palestine" and called for Palestinian independence.
