Police punished the pedestrians by keeping them standing in the sun for not wearing masks. Law enforcers kicked out many people who came to shop in different areas of Agrabad for the same crime.
Pedestrians are kept in the sun for 30 minutes without wearing masks. Police conducted raids in different areas of the city on Saturday afternoon. Mohammad Mohsin, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Double Mooring Police Station, said that the move was made to force people to wear masks and create awareness to follow the hygiene rules.
He said at least 10 people had been kicked out of the market for not wearing masks. Besides, some shops were warned not to follow the hygiene rules.
