Mamata Banerjee has advanced to Nandigram, the most talked about assembly constituency in West Bengal. The counting of votes started at 8 am Indian time on Sunday.

Nandigram was the big attraction of the news of voting since morning. Mamata was behind for a long time. However, the situation started changing after 2 pm.

At the end of 15 rounds of counting, Mamata is ahead of her rival Shuvendu Adhikari by about 8,000 votes.

Although there were 294 seats in the assembly, the election was postponed due to the death of two candidates.

As a result, counting of votes in 292 constituencies has started from this morning under tight security. Voting for the West Bengal Assembly elections began on March 27.

It ended last Thursday. The median average for voting in eight rounds is 81.6 percent.
