In a telephone session with the people of Pakistan on Sunday, Prime Minister Imran Khan said, "First the correct solution to the Kashmir issue, then the establishment of good relations with India.

Kashmir is still fighting for its independence. Having good relations with India at the moment would mean cheating the millions of people killed in the Kashmir region.

I have been trying to talk to India on the Kashmir issue since the very first day of my tenure. During a recent visit to Pakistan, UN General Assembly President Volkan Bozkir said, "It is not possible for India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue separately.

The two countries need to stop fighting over this issue. However, he stressed that the issue should be taken up at the UN with more importance. Incidentally, in August 2019, India revoked the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.

As a result, the special rights that Kashmir had enjoyed for so long were rejected. At the same time, the state of Jammu and Kashmir was divided into two separate Union Territories.

One is Ladakh, the other is Jammu and Kashmir.
