About 200 people even jumped into the Saryu River to escape the Tickers. The incident took place at Sisaura village under Ramnagar subdivision on Saturday.
On that day, a team of health workers arrived there to vaccinate the villagers. Seeing them enter the village, they were practically stunned.
Sub-divisional ruler Rajib Kumar Shukla came forward seeing the situation as strange. He tried to explain the importance of vaccination to the villagers.
About 200 villagers jumped into the Saryu river in groups to escape the vaccine.
