A team of researchers from Jessore University of Science and Technology (JUST) has claimed the presence of coronavirus RNA in banknotes in Bangladesh. At a press conference held in the conference room of the administration building on Monday, the vice chancellor of the university and the director of the Genome Center, Prof. Anwar Hossain demanded this.
According to sources. Anwar Hossain said, "Our research team has found the presence of Corona virus RNA in the banknotes obtained from different parts of the country." He added that the research team was able to detect the presence of the virus's N-gene in banknotes for up to 72 hours and the stability of the ORF gene for up to 8-10 hours.
This research paper has already been published in a journal.
