In keeping with Saudi Arabia, people of several villages of Satkhira have celebrated Eid-ul-Fitr.
The participation of women in this year's Jamaat was also eye-catching. Locals said that even though Eid was announced in the country a day later, every year some people celebrate Eid in harmony with some countries in the Middle East including Saudi Arabia. They think that's right.
However, most of the people oppose it. For the past one century, people of several villages in Satkhira Sadar, Tala and Asashuni upazilas have been celebrating Eid in harmony with Saudi Arabia.
