As thousands of worshipers prayed at Jerusalem's Al-Aqsa Mosque on the night of Laylat al-Qadr, the Israeli army launched a barbaric attack on Palestinian protesters with rubber bullets, tear gas and sound grenades.

Eighty people, including children, were injured in the clashes. On the 28th day of Ramadan, hundreds of Israeli forces stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque.

According to Al-Jazeera, Israeli helicopters were seen flying over the Al-Aqsa Mosque at the time. Members of the Palestinian Red Crescent Society said Israeli forces had prevented medics from reaching the site of the violence.

Hundreds of Palestinians were injured in the attack. At least 50 people are hospitalized. They also said that six journalists were injured in the Israeli operation on the premises of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Several videos spread on social media showed Israeli forces attacking the mosque with tear gas.

They even hurled grenades at Palestinian women inside the mosque.
