Star actress Sravanti Chatterjee has lost the West Bengal assembly elections. The BJP candidate lost by a margin of 50,000 votes. His embarrassing defeat against Trinamool heavyweight leader Perth Chatterjee at the Behala West Center in the wake of Sunday's election has sparked renewed debate.

Sravanti Chatterjee has been making headlines in the last few months for breaking up her third marriage with Roshan Singh.

Then suddenly Srabonti entered the field of public politics. Mamata Banerjee, a close actress, joined the BJP instead of Rang. Modi-Amit Shah relied on Sravanti to give an ace to Trinamool star Mimi-Nusrat.

That magic didn't work. The BJP's trump card was that Sravanti lost to Parthar by 50,884 votes.

However, throughout the entire election campaign, Srabonti did not have any problem in promoting herself as the daughter of the violin house. However, the people of Behala rejected the girl of the house.

Sometimes she called the government of mother-land-people corrupt and sometimes she mocked Abhishek Banerjee as 'Tolabaj nephew'.

She also accused Mamata-Abhishek of obstructing the election campaign. There is no end to the controversy over Sravanti's personal life, and it is needless to say that the result of the heroine's entry into the political arena was not very pleasant.

Not only Sravanti, most of the BJP's star candidates have failed. No BJP heroine-candidate has tasted victory.
