A case has been filed against Nurul Haque Nur at Comilla's Debidwar Police Station under the Digital Security Act.
The case was filed by Swechchhasebak League leader Liton Sarkar on Thursday afternoon. Liton is the son of late Abdul Majid Sarkar of Bagur village in Debidwar upazila. It is alleged in the case that Nurul Haque Nur, former VP of Daksh, came live on his Facebook page on April 14 and made various provocative statements. The plaintiff in the case, Swechchhasebak League leader Liton Sarkar, said, "On April 14, former VP Nurul Haque Nur came on Facebook Live and made provocative, offensive and aggressive remarks to create communal riots."
In his protest, I have filed a case against VP Noor at Debidwar police station as an activist of the Volunteer League. Advocate Mohammad Harunur Rashid (Sabuj) said that a case has been registered against Nur under Section 25 (2) 28 (2) / 29 (1) 31 (2) of the Digital Security Act 2018.
Debidwar police chief said. Arifur Rahman said, ‘I have received a complaint against Nur. Since there have been multiple cases in different police stations of the country on the same allegation, further action will be taken as per the instructions of the higher authorities.
