After a two-day remand, Rafiqul Islam Madani has been sent back to Kashimpur Central Jail-2 in Gazipur.
He was sent to jail on Tuesday afternoon. Gazipur Metropolitan Police (GMP) Gachha Police Station OC Md Ismail Hossain said an application was made to the Gazipur Senior Judicial Magistrate's Court on April 13 to remand him for seven days for questioning.
On the same day, the judge of the court fixed April 15 as the day of remand. Gazipur Senior Judicial Magistrate Judge Madani granted a two-day remand application. He was taken to Gachha police station from Kashimpur Central Jail-2 for questioning last Sunday.
After interrogation, he was sent back to Kashimpur Jail around 1:15 pm on Tuesday. Abu Sayem of Kashimpur Central Jail-2 said that after questioning, Rafiqul Islam Madani was brought back to the jail around 1:15 pm by the police. Earlier on April 7, RAB arrested Rafiqul Islam from Letirkanda in Purbadhala upazila of Netrokona.
The next day, RAB-1 DAD Mohammad Khaleq filed a case against Rafiqul Islam under the Digital Security Act at Gachha police station.
Meanwhile, a case was also filed with the Basan police station under the Digital Security Act.
