The lockdown in Rangpur was also relaxed on the second day. Even though public transport is closed, rickshaw-autorickshaw microbus is running at a free speed.
Most businesses are open. Although miking has been done by the police and local administration to comply with the lockdown, many are not complying with it.
On Tuesday afternoon, different areas of the city were visited and the image of not accepting the lockdown was seen. On the other hand, many working people are unable to sell their labor and are in arrears.
The city's Kachari Bazaar, Station Bazaar and other areas have been visited, most of the businesses are open.
Although the number of buyers is low, many are not following the health rules. Meanwhile, the administration as well as various organizations, including the Red Crescent, are campaigning for the lockdown.
Executive Magistrate Mahamudul Hasan Mridha said, "We are campaigning to increase public awareness." Various people are also being fined.
