Kolkata Knight Riders will take on Chennai Super Kings in their fourth match of the IPL on Wednesday.
After the last match, fears arose that Shakib Al Hasan might be dropped. However, KKR has entered the field without Bangladeshi all-rounder Shakib. In the last match against Royal Challengers Bangalore, Shakib gave 24 runs by bowling two overs. He played 25 balls and scored only 26 runs. The fear of Shakib fans came true, KKR dropped him on Wednesday.
West Indies all-rounder Sunil Narine has been replaced by Shakib in the XI of this match. Shakib was in the XI in the first three matches of Kolkata in this year's IPL.
In these three matches, he has scored only 36 runs at an average of 12.66 and a strike rate of 97.43.
I did not see much success with the ball. Shakib got only 2 wickets with an average of 8.10 runs per over. Narine, who got a chance in his place, got a place in Kolkata XI for the first time in this year's event.
