In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus in Sylhet, it has been banned to stay out after 10 pm without any urgent need. It has been informed that legal action will be taken against those who disobey this directive. The public notice was sent to the media on Friday morning.
It said that the decision was taken in accordance with the rules of the Infectious Diseases (Prevention, Control and Eradication) Act, 2018. Such gatherings are prohibited; To observe hygiene in all religious places of worship including mosques and temples; Tourist-visitors from other districts are prohibited from visiting tourist-entertainment centers, cinema-theater halls; Hygiene in public transport; Trading in various places including hat-bazaar, market, shopping mall till 9 pm; Both the buyer and the seller must follow proper hygiene rules and must wear a mask.
Apart from this, it is not possible to go out after 10 pm without urgent need. The public notification also said that meetings, seminars, training workshops should be organized online as much as possible. Hotels and restaurants cannot accommodate more than half of the capacity.
Other hygiene rules must be followed, including entering the workplace and wearing a full-time mask during stay.
