Although the country is under lockdown to control coronavirus infection, import and export activities are normal at Hili land port in Dinajpur.

The process of import and export of goods and release of goods is going on between India and Bangladesh like other days. As a result, different types of goods including stones, onions, rice, wheat, khail, maize are entering the country through this port.

There is no restriction on the government to allow trucks carrying goods to reach the country from the land port. The process of import, export and release of goods is normal in accordance with the health rules.

Harun-ur-Rashid, president of Healy Land Port Importers and Exporters Group, said the market for imported goods would remain under control and the impact on Ramadan would not be affected during Ramadan. Panama Healy Port Link Limited, a private operator of Healy Land Port, said that during the lockdown, the government did not issue any instructions to stop the import and export activities of Healy Land Port.
