Hefazat-e-Islam central organizing secretary Azizul Haque Islamabadi has been remanded in police custody for seven days after his arrest. Police produced him in the Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate's Court on Monday after his arrest on Sunday evening.
Later, the police applied for his 10-day remand. Following the hearing, Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Devdas Chandra Adhikari granted a seven-day remand.
In that case, the police arrested him and sent him to court to apply for remand. The court later granted him a 7-day remand.
