Visiting Sri Lankan Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa has paid deep tributes to Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. He paid his respects by laying a wreath at the Father of the Nation in front of the Bangabandhu Memorial Museum at Dhanmondi 32 in the capital on Saturday morning.

He later also signed the visitor's book. In the visitor's book, Mahinda Rajapaksa writes, ‘This sacred place of reverence for all peace-loving people in Bangladesh and around the world has touched and touched me deeply. He further wrote, ‘The tragedy that took place at this place on 15 August 1975 in Bangladesh has become a symbol of strength and courage in various ways to protect and nurture independence for the people of Bangladesh, for which Bangabandhu sacrificed his precious life.
