Newly-appointed Australian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Jeremy Brewer has said that Bangladesh is ahead of Australia in vaccinating against the corona virus. Later, Prime Minister's Press Secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed reporters. Quoting the Australian High Commissioner, the Prime Minister's Press Secretary said, "The High Commissioner said that Bangladesh is ahead of Australia in vaccination.
The Australian ambassador also praised Bangladesh for being able to control the corona virus at the time. The Australian ambassador said they were keen to further strengthen economic co-operation and economic co-operation.
Recalling Australia's contribution to the war of liberation, the Prime Minister said Australia was one of the first countries to recognize Bangladesh in 1971 when the country became independent. Brewer further informed the Prime Minister that the Australian cricket team will visit Bangladesh this year to play T20 series. He also praised Bangladesh cricket.
