Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has paid homage to the heroic martyrs of the Liberation War by laying a wreath at the National Memorial in Savar.

He entered the memorial at 11:45 am on Friday. Later, he paid homage to millions of martyrs of 1971 with flowers at the Shaheed Bedi.

At that time, a smart contingent of three forces showed state respect. Standing for a minute of silence, Modi wished peace to the souls of the martyrs.

After signing the inspection book of the memorial, he planted an Arjuna sapling in the courtyard of the monument.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina received him at the airport. Later, a guard of honor was presented to the Prime Minister of India at the airport.

He went directly to Savar National Memorial from the airport. This is Narendra Modi's second visit to Bangladesh. Earlier, he visited Bangladesh on June 6 and 7, 2015.

During the visit of the Prime Minister of India, the formalities for the implementation of the land boundary agreement between the two countries were completed. This time, the government hopes that his visit to the nation will add a new milestone to the relations between the two countries.
