Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan's mattress survived the vote of confidence. He needed 172 votes in parliament to save the government.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which came to power in 2018, has strengthened its position and the government by getting more than 6 votes. Expressing the result of the confidence vote, the speaker said that Imran Khan was elected Prime Minister with 176 votes eight years ago. Imran Khan's Finance Minister Abdul Hafiz Sheikh Former Prime Minister and Pakistan People's Party leader Yousuf Raja Gilani was defeated.

His government was in a desperate situation. So Imran Khan voluntarily called for a vote of confidence in the National Assembly to prove his majority. 341 votes in the Parliament of Pakistan. Imran Khan needed at least 172 votes to win.

He got 178 votes with more than 6 votes. The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of opposition parties led by Maulana Fazlur Rahman, boycotted the vote of confidence. 155 members of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) voted for him in Saturday's election.

Besides, 7 members of MQMP party, 5 members of Balochistan Awami Party, 5 members of Pakistan Muslim League-Qaeda, 3 members of Grand Democratic Alliance, 1 member of Awami Muslim League and one member of Jamhuri Watan Party voted for him.

He also received the vote of an independent member. After winning the confidence vote, Prime Minister Imran Khan addressed Parliament. He thanked his party and allies for winning him the confidence vote.
