BNP general secretary Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir has advised Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader to take care of his house first.
He also demanded the resignation of Obaidul Quader. He said this at the 4th National Conference of the Nationalist Krishak Dal at Mahanagar Natyamanche in the capital on Friday. Mirza Fakhrul said,
First you (Kader) teach in your own home. What your younger brother Quader Mirza said about you, what he said about the party leaders, you should not stay in power after that. You should resign.
"We're having a hard time," he said. I am going through a critical moment. Khaleda Zia has been unjustly punished and detained. She is sick. He is not being allowed to go abroad for treatment. His treatment in the country is becoming extremely difficult day by day. We want the immediate release of Khaleda Zia. He must be released unconditionally.
"We have to release the captive leaders and activists," he said. False charges against acting chairman Tareq Rahman must be withdrawn.
35 lakh cases filed against leaders and activists have to be withdrawn. Digital security laws need to be repealed.
