The historic 7th of March has been celebrated with due dignity at Srimangal in Moulvibazar.
On the occasion of the day, various programs were organized by the Upazila administration. On Sunday morning, the Vice-Chairman Dr. Md. Abdus Shaheed MP. Later, leaders and workers of Awami League's allies and affiliates including Upazila Administration, Srimangal Thana, Srimangal Press Club, Upazila Awami League, Juba League, Chhatra League, Sramik League, Swechchhasebak League, Krishak League and Matsya League paid their respects. Besides, various social, cultural and professional organizations paid homage to the portrait of the Father of the Nation.
Among the various events organized by the upazila administration were Joy Bangla Cycle Rally, Painting Competition, Cultural Program and Discussion Meeting. At the end of the program, prizes were distributed among the winners. Besides, a discussion meeting was organized by the Upazila Awami League at noon at Chaumuhana Chattar in the city.
