Jatiya Party (JPA) chairman GM Quader has said his party will not play politics as a parasite. Jatiya Party is not in any alliance.
The Awami League does not want the Jatiya Party. Jatiya Party also does not want Awami League. Japar has no contact with any of the 14 Awami League-led parties. Opposition Deputy Leader GM Quader said this while inaugurating a meeting with the party's joint secretary general, organizing secretary and members of the editorial board at Japar Banani office on Saturday.
He said the Jatiya Party wants to establish the people's right to vote. The party will take part in every election as part of its party program. No one will be spared in any election. However, the decision to participate or boycott the upcoming Union Parishad elections will be taken at the party's presidium meeting. GM Quader said the Awami League and BNP have turned the country into a tyranny.
Japa is in the opposition. Speak out against oppression. The Awami League-BNP has buried the spirit of the liberation war through corruption and factionalism. After '91, the constitution has been amended to establish a constitutional dictatorship. Japan's secretary general Ziauddin Ahmed Bablu said the Awami League is now in government but they are no longer a political party. They have introduced fascism in the country.
Japar co-chairman Syed Abu Hossain Babla, opposition chief whip Moshiur Rahman Ranga and presidium member Mir Abdus Sabur Asud also addressed the meeting.
