Mushtaq Ahmed, 53, a jailed writer in a case under the Digital Security Act, has died a 'normal' death, the inquiry committee said in its report.
Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal told reporters at the secretariat on Thursday. He said that according to the report of the separate investigation committee of the Home Ministry, Gazipur DC and the jail authorities, Mushtaq Ahmed died of natural causes.
These are not the written opinions that the doctors initially made at the postmortem. In fact, we will finally know the post-mortem report. Note that on the night of February 25, writer Mushtaq Ahmed died at the Kashimpur High Security Jail in Gazipur.
According to the jail authorities, Mushtaq Ahmed suddenly fell ill inside the jail that evening. He was first taken to the jail hospital.
Later he was sent to Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital. The doctor on duty there declared him dead.
