Australia survived a 64-run victory over New Zealand in the third match. The Kiwis were bowled out for 144 in 17.1 overs at the 209-run target set by Australia.
Opener-wicketkeeper Matthew Wade (5) returned to the dressing room with the ball of Trent Bolt. But then the captain-opener Aaron Finch and Josh Philip formed a great partnership. Ish Sodhi broke their 82-run stand off 52 balls. Philip returned for 43 off 27 balls.
Finch then formed another big partnership with Maxwell to take Ajid to the run hill. Sodhi also broke this pair of them. Finch was dismissed for 69 off 44 balls with eight fours and two sixes. Earlier, he made a stormy partnership of 64 off 37 balls with Maxwell.
