IGP said. Benazir Ahmed said Bangladesh will become a developed country in 2041 under the leadership of the Prime Minister.
Radical changes are being made in the training of the police with the aim of building a suitable police force in developed countries. The syllabus of basic training of the police has been reviewed and new syllabus has been prepared according to the responsibilities and needs of different posts.
The training curriculum is being tailored to suit the real needs. The IGP said this while addressing a meeting of heads of police training institutes (Head of Training) at Police Academy, Sarada, Rajshahi on Wednesday afternoon. The Prime Minister has directed every officer and member to undergo at least 60 hours of training a year.
They are being modernized to enhance the capacity of all police training institutes to implement that goal. Describing the heads of the training institutes as' important persons', the IGP said, 'You are the guide of the police, the way you lead the police.
If you don't lose your way, the police won't lose your way. Benazir Ahmed said that in order to build a corruption-free police, everyone should be vocal against corruption.
We have to speak against corruption. Must live a life consistent with income. We have to come up with new innovative ideas in policing for the welfare of the country and the people.
Need to study regularly. If the police is improved, the country will move forward and the people will benefit. Additional IGP (HRM) Mazharul Islam gave the introductory speech.
About 60 Heads of Training from other training institutes including Police Academy, Police Staff College and In-Service Training Center participated in the meeting.
During the meeting, various issues related to training including formation of training pool, infrastructure of in-service training center, increase of vehicles and manpower were discussed.
