The Shaheed Minar of Buzruk Srikundi College in Magura Sadar was vandalized.

At some point on Saturday night, miscreants smashed the Shaheed Minar.

Upon receiving the news, the police visited the spot and temporarily rebuilt the Shaheed Minar. Later, everyone there paid homage to the language martyrs with flowers. College Principal Pallab Kumar Dey said the Shaheed Minar was built in 2002 after the establishment of the college.

Last Saturday afternoon he saw the Shaheed Minar intact. He came to give flowers at around 9 am on Sunday and saw that all the three pillars of the Shaheed Minar were broken and lying on the ground.

When he informed the police about the incident, the police came and temporarily rebuilt the Shaheed Minar. Later, they paid homage to the language martyrs with flowers at the rebuilt Shaheed Minar. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Sadar Police Station Joynal Abedin said they quickly visited the spot after receiving the news and temporarily rebuilt the Shaheed Minar.

OC, it is believed that someone caused the incident in the dark of night. Legal action will be taken against those involved in the incident after investigation.
