Union land officials were caught by the ACC while accepting bribes for providing land services

 

In Thakurgaon, the Union Land Assistant Officer was caught by the ACC while accepting bribe by deducting extra money by deducting the fee fixed by the government.

The incident took place at noon on Tuesday (February 2) at the Barbari Union Land Office in Baliadangi Upazila. Rafiqul Islam, a land assistant, was taking money from the service recipients in front of the ACC officials in disguise.

The ACC arrested him at the time. Deputy Assistant Director Mohammad Jinnatul Islam, AI Obaidur Rahman, Chief Assistant Rezaul Karim were present in the operation. He came to investigate and found evidence and was arrested in Hatena during the money transaction.

We will hand over everything along with necessary evidence to the Upazila Nirbahi Officer, he will take legal action. Baliadangi Upazila Nirbahi Officer Jobayer Hossain said, ACC officials have handed over the Union Land Officer to me after the operation. We will review the crime and take legal action.
