People of all walks of life paid homage to the language martyrs on the first morning of the Great Martyrs' Day and International Mother Language Day in Bagerhat.
On the first morning of Ekushey at the central Shaheed Minar in Bagerhat, the district administration, police administration, Bagerhat district Awami League, Muktijoddha Sangsad, Bagerhat Press Club paid homage to the language martyrs.
Later, various political parties including BNP, Jatiya Party, CPB and various socio-cultural organizations paid homage to the language martyrs at the central Shaheed Minar in Bagerhat.
