Three jute warehouses were burnt in a fire in Faridpur's Boalmari upazila. The incident took place at a jute warehouse at Kalinagar Bazar in Rupapat Union of the upazila on Saturday.
Upon receiving the news, three teams of Boalmari, Saltha and Moksedpur Fire Service of Saltha and Gopalganj of Faridpur reached the spot and brought the fire under control.
Md. On fire. Monir Sheikh, Jalal Sikder, Sanjib Adhikari, Biplob Basu's jute warehouse was burnt. However, it was not possible to know how the fire started.
The idea of the traders is that the fire started from a short circuit of electricity. Upazila Executive Officer Jhotan Chanda said, the damage caused by the fire will be assessed and help will be provided to the victims. Ohiduzzaman Saiful said three teams of Moksedpur Fire Service from Boalmari, Saltha and Gopalganj reached the spot and brought the fire under control. The fire is believed to have started from a short circuit in electricity.
The onset of fire will be known later subject to investigation.
