Obaidul Quader's younger brother Noakhali District Awami League vice-president and Kompaniganj Upazila Awami League executive committee member Abdul Quader Mirza's recommendation to expel and the decision to release from all activities of the organization was postponed after two hours. A letter signed by district Awami League president AHM Khairul Anam Chowdhury Selim and general secretary Mohammad Ekramul Karim Chowdhury at the district Awami League pad at around 4pm on Saturday gave a letter recommending expulsion of Abdul Quader Mirza from the organization and exemption from all activities.

Two hours later, it was postponed again. District Awami League president AHM Khairul Anam Chowdhury Selim confirmed the information. However, there has been a lot of discussion in the district town on the issue. It is mentioned in the release letter that for the last few months, Abdul Quader Mirza has been inflicting serious injuries on the party leaders and workers and has been giving false and indecent statements about the Awami League Central Committee and district leaders.

He has also been exempted from all activities of the organization for making offensive remarks at various rallies and making anti-organizational remarks, comments and threats on Facebook Live.

Besides, Awami League President Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the Executive Parliament have been recommended for the final expulsion of Abdul Quader Mirza from the post of primary member of the party for his anti-organizational and anti-party activities. Abdul Quader Mirza said the district Awami League has no committee in this regard.

I have no involvement with them. This illegal committee does not exist. This committee does not have the power to expel me. Noakhali district Awami League president AHM Khairul Anam Chowdhury Selim said, this decision has been postponed due to unavoidable reasons.
