Foreign Secretary Masood bin Momen, Bangladesh Economic Zones Authority (BEZA) Executive Chairman Pawan Chowdhury, heads of Bangladesh missions abroad, investors and senior officials of various ministries and departments took part in the webinar. Momen said Bangladesh's economy is moving in the right direction under the right leadership and 10 percent GDP growth will take the country further on the path of fulfilling the dream of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman's Sonar Bangla. The Foreign Minister said that increased FDI in Bangladesh could be an important factor in achieving the status of a developed country by 2041. Momen said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been playing a vital role in attracting more foreign investment to Bangladesh through its overseas missions.

There are five components of economic diplomacy which include increased FDI and portfolio expansion, export growth and diversification, improved service delivery, lucrative employment, human resource and technology transfer. Momen said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and foreign missions are working closely with all investment authorities and ministries in Bangladesh to further strengthen the country's trade and investment sectors. Bangladesh has been praised worldwide for its GDP growth and sustainable socio-economic development.
