The High Court on Wednesday ordered immediate removal of the documentary 'All the Prime Minister's Men' from YouTube, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram at home and abroad. Barrister Enamul Kabir Emon appeared for the petitioner.
Attorney General AM Amin Uddin appeared for the state. Barrister Khandaker Reza-e-Rakib was in favor of the BTRC. The court can give any order on this application.
And if the court orders, it will be easier to take steps to remove BTRC videos from the internet. Khandaker Reza-e-Rakib said that BTRC can only block any content inside the country. But things outside the country can’t stop. Can't move.
Therefore, if the court orders, the BTRC can contact the concerned authorities and take steps to remove them permanently. The court has also issued similar orders in the past (to remove the video of a woman being tortured in Noakhali).
Then BTRC has taken steps to remove these from various internet media including Facebook. And if Al-Jazeera's video is not removed permanently, the bleeding in the hearts of all of us will continue.
