District Awami League leaders staged a protest rally in Bogra on Monday in protest of the BNP's unilateral election on February 15, 1996.
Bogra district Awami League president Mojibur Rahman Majnu presided over the rally at Satmatha Mujib Mancha in the city at 12 noon. District Awami League office secretary Al Razi Jewel addressed the rally. T Zaman Niketa, Pradeep Kumar Roy, Mizanur Rahman Ratan, Asadur Rahman Dulu, Shahriar Arif Opel, Zakir Hossain Nawab, Nasrin Rahman Seema, Mashrafe Hero, Tapan Chakraborty, Ruhul Momin Tariq SM Sajahan, Khalequzzaman Raja, Abu Sufian Safiq, Sahidul Islam Dulu.
Saiful Islam Bulbul, Rumana Aziz Rinki, Alamgir Hossain Swapan, Altafur Rahman Masuk, Shubhashish Poddar Liton, Sajedur Rahman Shahin, Aminul Islam Dablu, Zulfiqar Rahman Shant, Dalia Nasrin Rikta, Naimur Razzak Titas and Rasel Ahmed spoke.
The speakers said the country's democracy has been well-established under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. The Awami League has ensured the right of the people of the country to vote and rice.
Overcoming all obstacles has brought back the trend of development and progress.
