The Public Service Commission (PSC) has finalized the date of the 42nd (Special) BCS Preliminary (Selection) Examination for the appointment of Physician Cadre Officers.

The BCS preliminary examination will be held on February 26. More than 31,000 applications have been submitted for the special 42nd BCS for doctors.

The BCS application started on December 7 last year and ended on the evening of December 27. In the 42nd BCS, 2,000 people will be appointed as Assistant Surgeons. The 42nd BCS notification said that the 42nd Special BCS (Special) MCQ type written test will be held on February 26. The PSC said in the notification that the examination for the 42nd Special BCS will be 300 marks.

Of these, 200 will be preliminary examination (MCQ type). And the number 100 will be the oral test. Candidates will get two hours for the 200 number test. The preliminary examination will be on Medical Science (100), Bengali (20), English (20), Bangladesh (20), International Affairs (20), Mental Skills (10) and Mathematical Reasoning (10). Candidates for each correct answer in the examination. You will get number 1.

However, if wrong answer is given, 50 marks will be deducted from the total number obtained for each wrong answer. A circular signed by PSC's examination controller (cadre) Nur Ahmed said that books, all kinds of watches, mobile phones, calculators, all kinds of electronic devices , Bank cards, credit card-like devices, jewelry, bags and bracelets are strictly prohibited. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the hall with prohibited material.

In the presence of the Appellate Magistrate-Police, the candidates have to enter the examination hall by searching the prohibited items including mobile phones, watches, electronic devices with the help of admission cards and meter detectors.
