Awami League rebel candidate in Rajbari municipality. Alamgir Sheikh Titu has won by a huge margin.
Additional Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer Sarwar Ahmed Salehin announced the results in the conference room of Rajbari district administration around 8pm on Sunday.
Awami League nominated candidate Mohammad Ali Chowdhury got 7348 votes for the boat symbol, BNP nominee Tofazzal Hossain Mia got 2668 votes for the paddy symbol, Awami League rebel candidate Md. Alamgir Sheikh Titu got 15902 votes with the coconut tree symbol and K A Razzak Marine got 951 votes with the Jatiya Party nominated plow symbol.
Out of 45,020 votes, 26,812 voters exercised their franchise.
