Oscar-winning Canadian actor Christopher Plummer is no more. He was 91 years old. His family said he breathed his last at his home in Kansas.
He was accompanied by his wife, Elaine Taylor. He is the most veteran actor to win an Oscar. His other films include Sound of Music, The Man Who Would Key King, and All the Money in the World. In 1958, Plummer's first film, Stage Stroke, was released.
Since then, he has acted for more than seven decades. Plummer was born in 1929 in Toronto. He was a descendant of John Abbott, the third Prime Minister of Canada.
He grew up in the city of Toronto. From an early age he was equally proficient in English and French. After graduation, he joined the Montreal Repertory Theater.
