Facebook has blocked access to news content for Facebook users in Australia. Australians have not seen any local or international media pages on their Facebook page since Thursday morning.
A number of other government departments (including health care, emergency pages) and other pages were also blocked by Facebook authorities.
However, Facebook later said that this had happened by mistake.
