Nilphamari-bound 'Nilsagar Express' from Dhaka has escaped from an accident at Ullapara in Sirajganj.

The driver stopped the train at around 11am on Saturday after seeing a red cloth worn by local madrassa teacher Saddam Hussein. According to local railway sources, Saddam Hussein, a local madrasa teacher, saw a crack in the railway line on the west side of the railway bridge 400 yards east of Ullapara railway station in the morning.

With the help of a boy named Saharul, he quickly took a red cloth from home and stood horizontally on the railway line. After a while, the Nilsagar Express left Dhaka and reached there and saw the red flag.

About three and a half hundred passengers of the train escaped the accident. Saddam Hussein is a teacher at Char Ghatina Hafizia Madrasa. Rafiqul Islam, assistant station master at Ullapara railway station, said the Nilsagar Express was saved from a major accident in Saddam Hussein's mind.

He added, "After learning about the incident, the railway line was repaired quickly and the train left about half an hour later. Teacher Saddam Hussein said he saw a crack in the railway line and informed the Ullapara railway station authorities on his mobile phone. Arranged.
