The Election Commission (EC) has urged the citizens of the country to become voters as soon as they reach the age of 18.

The agency made the call ahead of Voters' Day. The information was given in a circular signed by EC Assistant Secretary Mosharraf Hossain on February 4. According to the circular, National Voters' Day will be observed on March 2.

This time the theme is 'If you are eighteen, it's not too late to be a voter'. The Election Commission has directed to mention the issue in all the leaflets. This is the third time that the EC will celebrate the National Voters' Day.

The updated voter list will be released on the same day. The Election Commission is organizing various programs on the occasion of Voters' Day. At present, the Commission is also keeping information of those below 18 years of age.

At the age of 18, the list is automatically added to the list of voters.
