Myanmar protesters killed by police rose up against the military coup, has risen to 18.
At least 50 people have been injured. The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) has received credible information that police and military forces have cracked down on peaceful protests, killing at least 18 people and injuring more than 30 others. The casualties occurred in the country's cities of Yangon, Dawei and Mandalay on Sunday holidays.
Stun grenades and bullets to disperse protesters in Myanmar, as well as fiery tear gas fired by police.
The death toll is expected to rise further.
