The moon of the holy month of Rajab in 1442 AH was not seen anywhere in the sky of Bangladesh on Friday.
As a result, the holy month of Jamadius Sunny will be completed in 30 days on Saturday and the holy month of Rajab will be counted from Sunday. On 26th Rajab 1442 AH, 26th Falgun 1427 BS, on the night of 11th March, Shabe Meraj will be celebrated.
The decision was taken at a meeting of the National Moon Sighting Committee at the Islamic Foundation Baitul Mukarram meeting room on Friday evening.
Additional Secretary of the Ministry of Religious Affairs Md. Altaf Hossain Chowdhury presided over the function.
