Former national cricket team captain Mashrafe bin Murtaza MP said the youth should participate more in various sports including cricket, always with good deeds. He also called for staying away from drugs at all times. He said this while inaugurating the final match of 'Ayesha-Sami T20 Cricket Tournament' at Kamaldia village in Madhukhali upazila of Faridpur on Friday afternoon.

He said that cricket has to be practiced with cricket ball and not with tape tennis. The tournament is organized by the local Sami Krirachakra.

In the final, Abdur Rahman Technical School and College of Madhukhali defeated Mrigi Sporting Club of Kalukhali, Rajbari by nine wickets to become the champion.

Former President of Federation of Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) AK Azad, Chairman of Faridpur District Council Shamsul Haque Bhola Master, Mayor of Faridpur Municipality Amitabh Bose, District Awami League Vice President Shamim Haque were present as guests on the occasion. League joint general secretary Jharna Hasan, Mainuddin Ahmed Manu, women's affairs secretary Ivy Masud, Awami League leader Shah Alam Mukul, Shahidul Islam, Dr. Inaugurating the game, former captain and Narail-2 MP Mashrafe bin Murtaza said, "You can't become a cricketer by playing with a tape tennis ball."

Cricket has to be played with a specific ball of cricket. He called upon the youth to come forward towards cricket, saying that sports can keep the youth away from drugs and terrorism.
