Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has given utmost importance to mother tongue learning. She said that for international communication, we must learn other languages as well as our mother tongue.
She attended the event held at the International Mother Tongue Institute through video conference from Ganobhaban.
The Prime Minister said language is the identity of a person and that identity carries respect. She said there were several attempts to use Bengali during the Pakistan period.
