Kurigram district BNP has held demonstrations and rallies on the third anniversary of the imprisonment of BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
The district BNP alleged that the police obstructed a protest procession in the area near Dada Mor on Monday afternoon.
Later, district BNP vice-president Assistant Professor Shafiqul Islam Bebu, BNP leader Zahurul Alam, district BNP senior joint secretary Sohail Hossain Kaikobad, former Jassas president Altaf Hossain, BNP leader Idris Ali, Jamil Ahmed and municipal BNP general secretary Mohiuddin addressed the rally. Jahangir Biplob, District Juba Dal President Raihan Kabir, Organizing Secretary Rajab Ali, District Chhatra Dal President Amimul Ihsan, District Swechchhasebak Dal Vice President Abu Darda Helal and others.
The speakers called upon all patriotic forces to unite in the movement for the immediate release of Khaleda Zia.
