Great Martyr's Day has been celebrated in Kurigram through various programs.
On the occasion, officials and employees of various political, social, cultural and government departments including district administration, police department, health department, municipality, Kurigram Press Club, Awami League and BNP laid wreaths at the central Shaheed Minar in the early hours of Sunday.
People of all walks of life paid their respects with flowers at the central Shaheed Minar in Kurigram in the early hours of the day.
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Rezaul Karim started the day by laying a wreath at the central Shaheed Minar at 12:01 pm. Among others, various district officers and employees including Superintendent of Police Syeda Jannat Ara laid wreaths.
At this time a minute of silence was observed to pay homage to the martyrs.
